General

What does the guest amenities fee/additional charges include?

Your daily guest amenities fee of $25 plus tax includes the following:

  • Complimentary Nightly Wine Hour from 5:00 – 6:00 PM
  • Complimentary Fruit Water and Iced Water all day
  • Complimentary Coffee & Tea Service Daily 6:00 – 10:00 AM
  • Complimentary Daily Newspaper
  • Unlimited local and long distance phone calls
  • Upgraded WiFi speed throughout the hotel’s guest rooms and public spaces for up to 5 devices (Normally a $14.99 charge)
  • Fitness Center Passes to local gym open 5:30 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Discounted In-Room Spa Services from relax and rejuvenate

When is check in/check out time?

Check in is at 3:00 p.m. and check out is at 12:00 noon.

How do I view my reservation?

Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?

The Hotel is 100% Non-Smoking. The Hotel reserves the right to charge a Cleaning Fee of $250 for costs incurred by smoking.

Do you have a fitness center? What kind of equipment does it have? What are the hours?

The hotel does not have a fitness center, but has a partnership with a local fitness center located 2 blocks from the hotel. The fitness center fee is covered in your amenity fee and is open from 5:30 am - 8:00pm. Please stop by the front desk to get a pass.

Do you offer room service? What are the hours?

Room service is available for breakfast from 7:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and also from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Do you have a business center?

Although the hotel does not offer a business center, our front desk team would be happy to look up any information for you, scan, print or fax any document you require.

Do you have a pool?

The hotel does not have a pool.

Do you have a spa? What are the hours?

The hotel does not have a spa on property; however, there are in-room spa services available.  Please contact the front desk to set up appointments or Click Here for more information.

Do you allow photo shoots and filming?

We do! All shoots are at the discretion of the hotel and require at least 48 hours notice, proof of insurance, and a signed waiver. Location fees start from $500. To inquire about a shoot, please contact sales-dept@hotelmadera.com for more information.

How do I get to the Hotel?

Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?

There is no complimentary shuttle service.  Please contact the concierge for transportation assistance at (202) 296-7600.

What are your cross streets?

The hotel is located on New Hampshire and N Street Northwest.

Do you have onsite parking? How much is parking? Is it included in my room rate?

Yes, valet parking is available on property and not included in your room rate. It is available 24 hours with in-and-out privileges. Overnight parking costs $48.99 (plus tax). Daily parking is $26.99. Eco-friendly hybrid vehicles get 50% off on parking.

How do I view my reservation?

Will your rooms allow rollaways/cribs/playards? Is there a charge?

Some of our rooms can accommodate cribs or rollaway beds. There is a per night rental fee for rollaways.

I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?

If you made a reservation using a non Hotel Madera website please contact your service provider directly to make modifications to your reservation.

What is your cancellation/deposit policy?

Reservations must canceled at least 72 hours prior to your arrival date, 3:00 p.m. local hotel time to avoid a one night's room and tax charge to your credit card.

Is my ID/passport required at check in?

A valid government issued photo ID is required at the time of check in.

What is the minimum age requirement to check into the room?

Special rules may apply for guests under the age of 18. This varies by hotel so please contact the hotel for further information prior to making a reservation.

Do you have accessible rooms?

Do you have an early departure fee?

The hotel may charge an early departure fee up to one night's room and tax.

Restaurant

What are the hours of the restaurant/bar/lounge?

Firefly serves American cuisine. Reservations are recommended; please call 202-861-1310.

Breakfast is served Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; lunch is served Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; dinner is served Sunday-Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; and brunch is served on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Accounting

What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?

A valid credit card is required to check into the hotel. Payments in cash, by credit card, or travelers check are accepted at check out. We do not accept personal checks.

Pets

Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?

The hotel is pet friendly and there are no pet restrictions.  However, we request that during check in a pet form is completed and that the pet is caged or out of the room during housekeeping service.

Do you have pet free rooms for those with allergies?

Guests may request a pet free room.

Do you have pet sitting or dog walking services?

Guests may request pet services including but not limited to pet sitting, dog walking, and pet spa services by contacting the front desk.

How far do you have to walk to take your pet out?

The closest dog walking park is Dupont Circle; please see the front desk for a map and directions.

Concierge

I want flowers, chocolates, champagne, gifts sent to the room. How do I do this?

Please contact the concierge for any concierge related requests 24 hours a day.
